CHINATOWN — Police are looking for two men who installed a card skimming device in an ATM inside a Chinatown drug store earlier this month.

Security cameras caught two men installing the device into the machine inside Manhattan Chinatown Pharmacy, at 156 Canal St., on Jan. 6 at approximately 10 a.m., police said.

One of the men later returned to the pharmacy roughly 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 8 and removed the card skimmer, according to the NYPD.

Manager Steve Ciu said the pharmacy called the police when employees noticed double-sided tape on the ATM’s card reader. Ciu said they noticed a customer “standing at the ATM for a while” before they spotted the tape.

Photos released by the police showed one man dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, jacket and pants while another man wore a red and black coat with a gray hat and khakis.

Police said one of the suspects was about 35 years old and 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds. Information about the other suspect was not immediately available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or visit its website.
