Monday, January 4

Glittering World: Navajo Jewelry of the Yazzie Family

Where: National Museum of the American Indian, One Bowling Green
When: Through Jan. 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

See 300 pieces of interesting, glittery jewelry made by a longtime American Indian jewelry making family from New Mexico. Free admission.

Escape the Room

Where: The Clemente, 107 Suffolk St., Lower East Side
When: Through June 30, Monday and Tuesday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday 1:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from noon to 11 p.m.

See if you can “Escape the Room” by finding clues and solving puzzles in 60 minutes or less. Participants can try to find their way out of one of two scenarios : a “typical NYC apartment” and a theater. Tickets are $28 per person.

Tuesday, January 5

"Amy" Screening

Where: Clinton Hill Library, 380 Washington Ave., Clinton Hill
When: 1:45 p.m.

Drop by the Clinton Hill library for a free screening of the documentary that portrays the life and death of British singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse. The movie, which has been shortlisted for Academy Award consideration, tells the story of Winehouse’s struggle with substance abuse before and after her career took off. The movie is rated R and runs just over two hours.

Juice Shop Parent Meet-Up

Where: House of Juice, 642 Rogers Ave., Prospect-Lefferts Gardens

When: 12 to 2 p.m.

Relax and meet up with “like-minded” parents at this child-friendly mixer for those who want to try out the organic juices served at House of Juice, a new health food bar in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. No childcare needed, organizers said — kids are welcome to try out the juices, too.

Wednesday, January 6

Discotropic

Where: Westbeth, 55 Bethune St., West Village

When: 8 p.m.

Directed and choreographed by American artist niv Acosta, Discotropic is an exploration of the role of black performers in science fiction, inspired by the part Diahann Carroll played in the TV movie "Star Wars Holiday Special" in the 1970s. Carroll was cast at the insistence of donors and audience members who wanted a black person to appear in the show, but was only depicted as a holograph. The performance was commissioned by PS122 and is presented by PS122 and Westbeth Artists Community. Tickets are $20, or $15 for seniors and students.

Allegrini Wine and Small Bites at the Wright

Where:  The Wright restaurant at the Guggenheim Museum on Fifth Avenue, Upper East Side
When: 5 to 8 p.m.

Guests will be privy to five glasses of Allegrini wine, from Gambero Rosso, the 2016 Winery of the Year, paired with small bites by executive chef Alejandro Cortez. $55 per person. Members get a 10 percent discount.

Classic Movies at Queens Library

Where: Central Library, 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica

When: 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Watch your favorite old flicks for free at the Queens Library every Thursday in January. This week, classic film lovers will get to see "The Roaring Twenties" (1939). Other selections this month will include "A Patch of Blue" (1965) on Jan. 14, "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951) on Jan. 21 and  "Marty" (1955) on Jan. 28. No registration is required.

Comedian Michael Ian Black on His New Memoir

Where: Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street
, Upper West Side
When: 7:30 p.m.

Actor Michael Ian Black will talk about his new memoir “Navel Gazing: True Tales of Bodies, Mostly Mine (But Also My Mom's, Which I Know Sounds Weird)” about facing middle age. Tickets for the general public are $25; $21 for members and $15 for anyone under 30 (with identification).

B-Side: Rhythm & Stealth

Where: BRIC TV Studio, 647 Fulton St., Fort Greene
When: 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Description: BRIC TV will host a free, live in-studip performance and interview with "Rhythm & Stealth," the solo project of New York-based musician and producer Lex Sadler. Sadler has toured nationally and internationally with artists like Blitz the Ambassador and he’s performed on "The Late Show With David Letterman" and "Good Morning America" with pop singer Ellie Goulding. His debut album Twenty Three Seven mixes electronica, hip-hop, samples and live instrumentation. To RSVP, click here.

A Night of Standup, Improv and Theater at The Annoyance

Where: The Annoyance New York 367 Bedford Ave.
, Williamsburg
When: 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Head over the Annoyance Thursday night for improv hosted by the in-house comedy troupe, followed by a play, and then a compilation of character studies, scenes and songs from New York comedians. Some parts of the evening are free for others there’s a charge of $5 of $10.
