CHARLESTON — A pedestrian is in serious condition after he was hit by a driver on Monday night, officials said.
The 44-year-old man was crossing Sonia Court, near Bloomingdale Road in Staten Island at about 5:37 p.m. when he was hit, according to the FDNY and the Staten Island Advance.
The victim was taken to Staten Island University Hospital South where he's listed in serious condition, fire officials said Tuesday.
The NYPD did not have any information on the crash, but the Staten Island Advance reported the driver remained on scene and was not charged.
