As the rest of the city prepares for the Friday premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" with viewing parties, Death Star-shaped waffles, Yoda-bedecked holiday cards, and "Dark Side"-flavored ice cream, one New Yorker couldn't care less about it.

Mayor Bill de Blasio hasn't bought tickets to see the seventh film of George Lucas' beloved saga, he said at an AARP Age-Friendly NYC Livability Solutions Forum at the Cornell Club in Midtown Monday morning.

"I respect Star Wars’ place in the American cultural firmament, but it’s never quite been my thing," the mayor said in a question-and-answer session, according to a transcript from the mayor's office.

What's just recompense for de Blasio's apathy?

Impeachment is one option. Alternatively, he could be cast into the Great Pit of Carkoon and swallowed by the monstrous sarlacc, in whose stomach one is slowly digested over a thousand years. We'll let the mayor choose.
