DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Police have released surveillance photos of a man wanted for snatching a sleeping woman’s iPhone on a southbound N train over Thanksgiving weekend.

The 22-year-old woman, who fell asleep while listening to music on her headphones, was on the train when it pulled into the Dekalb Avenue station around 5:20 a.m. on Nov. 29, the NYPD said.

She woke up when the train doors opened, as her headphones were being yanked out of her ears.

She saw a man taking her iPhone 6 Plus from her jacket pocket, and chased him as he ran off the train and along the southbound platform, police said. But she wasn’t able to catch up with him.

Another woman sleeping on an N train was targeted by an iPhone-snatching bandit on Thanksgiving Day.

The 24-year-old victim fell asleep as her train was traveling between Court Street and Jay Street-MetroTech during late-night service, the NYPD said.

When she woke up at the Jay Street-MetroTech station, she realized a man who was getting off the train had taken her iPhone 5s, police said. She also chased the suspect, but eventually lost sight of him.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect in the latest robbery. It wasn’t clear if this was the same man involved in the first robbery, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
