STATEN ISLAND — An elderly woman was critically injured when she was struck by a Time Warner van in Bulls Head Thursday morning, police said.

The 85-year-old woman, whose name was not immediately released, was crossing over Christopher Lane at Victory Boulevard about 9:40 a.m. when a the white van made a left turn onto Christopher and hit her, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The driver, whose identity was not released, is an EMT and helped the woman until other emergency medical workers arrived, police said.

She was taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where she's listed in critical condition, police said.

The driver was not immediately charged, police said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the woman injured this morning. We’re working with the NYPD as they investigate the accident,” a Time Warner Cable spokesman said.
