DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Police are looking for suspects who stole iPhones from sleeping women in two separate robberies on southbound N trains last week.

The first robbery happened early Thanksgiving morning after the 24-year-old victim fell asleep as her train was traveling between Court Street and Jay Street-MetroTech during late-night service, the NYPD said.

When she woke up at the Jay Street-MetroTech station, she realized her iPhone 5s was missing. She looked up and saw a man standing near the train doors who she had seen when she got on the train at Times Square.

When the doors opened, the man exited the train with her hot on his heels. She chased him to the upper platform and through the exit near Bridge and Willoughby Streets, but eventually lost sight of him.

Days later, a 22-year-old woman who fell asleep while listening to music on the train was also robbed of her iPhone, police said.

The incident took place on Sunday about 5:20 a.m., when the sleeping woman was yanked awake by the feeling of her headphones being pulled out of her ears, she told police.

She saw a man taking her iPhone 6 Plus from her jacket pocket, and chased him as he ran off the train and along the southbound platform of the Dekalb Avenue station, police said.

But she wasn’t able to catch up with him. Police have not released information on the suspects.
