DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A corrections officer was injured after an inmate pulled her hair then punched her in the head repeatedly last week in court, according to a criminal complaint.

Officer Tamka Goode was moving 27-year-old Crystal Hernandez and another inmate from the pen at Kings County Criminal Court just after 6 p.m. on Nov. 17 when Hernandez attacked the officer, according to the complaint.

Goode suffered bruising and redness on her shoulder, wrist and arm, causing substantial pain, the complaint says.

Hernandez was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.

Felony assault charges were dismissed “based on the totality of the circumstances,” according to the Brooklyn district attorney’s office.

Attorney information for Hernandez was not immediately available. She is being held on $1,500 bail. It wasn’t clear why Hernandez was initially in court.
