► From Little Brazil with Love

Where: New York Pao De Queijo, 31-90 30th St., Astoria
When: 8 p.m.

Photographer Steve Vasquez, a.k.a. Queenscapes, is displaying photos from the borough's Little Brazil neighborhood in Dutch Kills. The event is free and there will be complimentary desserts.

Saturday, Nov. 21

LIC Bulb Festival

Where: Meet at LIC Landing, 52-10 Center Blvd., Long Island City  
When: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Help the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy celebrate the changing seasons as they plant 3,000 daffodil bulbs in Hunters Point South Park and Gantry Plaza State Park, which will bloom in the spring. Cafe LIC Landing will provide refreshments to the volunteers.

► Diwali Festival at Flushing Town Hall

Where: Flushing Town Hall, 37-35 Northern Blvd., Flushing
When: Saturday, Nov. 22, 1 to 4 p.m.

Celebrate the festival of lights with Indian singers and dancers, including Abha Roy, Naren Budhakkar and Rohan Misra. They'll perform traditional music, dancing and performances. Flushing Town Hall will also host dance workshops, henna painting and an Indian fashion show, and offer handmade Indian jewelry for sale.

► Free Family Program from Lincoln Center at JCAL

Where: Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, 153-10 Jamaica Ave., Jamaica
When: Workshop runs from 2 to 3 p.m.; performance is from 3 to 4 p.m.

See world-class artists perform for free at the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning as part of the Boro-Linc initiative. This Saturday, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will present “Chamber Music Beginnings — Musical Moods,” which composer Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry wrote for his grandmother. The performance, which is recommended for kids ages 8-10, will be preceded by a workshop led by local artists.

► 150th Anniversary of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"

Where: Queens Library at Forest Hills, 108-19 71st Ave., Forest Hills
When: 3 p.m.

The Queens Borough Public Library is kicking off its extended hours of 6 days a week with dozens of special events. Library patrons in Forest Hills will get to see a presentation exploring Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." During the free event, marking the 150th anniversary of the book's publication, participants will learn all about its secrets.

Sunday, Nov. 22

Gyoza Cooking Workshop

Where: Resobox, 41-26 27th St., Long Island City
When: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Learn how to prepare and cook your own gyoza, the Japanese dumpling. The $40 class will be taught by Chef Mitsura Kita and includes all materials. RSVP for the workshop on the Facebook event page, or buy tickets online here

"Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas” Screening

Where: Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria
When: 1 p.m. 

Get into the holiday spirit early by watching the 1978 classic film by Jim Henson, which features some of the puppeteer’s most lovable characters. The screening will include a presentation by Jim Henson Legacy President Craig Shemin, who will show outtakes from the film as well as scenes from his documentary about the making of the movie. Tickets are $12 and includes entry to the museum.

► Forest Hills Symphony Orchestra performs at Forest Hills Jewish Center

Where: Forest Hills Jewish Center, 106-06 Queens Blvd., Forest Hills
When: 2 p.m.

The Forest Hills Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Forest Hills Jewish Center this Sunday. The program will include Schubert's Symphony No. 4, Prokoffiev's Overture and Glinka's Overture to Russlan & Ludmilla. The orchestra provides 400 free tickets per concert. 

Holiday Shopping Bazaar

Where: St. Andrew Avellino Church, 35-50 158th St., Flushing
When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Shop all day long with some of the borough's best vendors, hawking unique holiday crafts, antiques and "bric-a-brac."
