GRAMERCY — We all scream for ice cream, but this guy steals it.

A 22-year-old man tried to walk out of the CVS at 215 Park Ave. S. with a backpack stuffed with 26 cartons of Haagen Dazs ice cream shortly after 1 p.m. on Nov. 13, but was stopped by security, police said.

The thief was charged with petit larceny, police said.

An employee at CVS declined to comment on the incident.
