QUEENS — One person was critically injured and another was seriously hurt when a fire tore through a Forest Hills apartment Tuesday morning, officials said.

The blaze started in a sixth-floor apartment of 106-15 Queens Blvd., near Jewel Avenue, about 5:54 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

Both casualties were taken to New York Hospital.

About 106 firefighters helped bring the fire under control by 6:46 a.m., officials said.

Fire marshals will investigate its cause, the spokesman said.
