MANHATTAN — Authorities tracked the cellphone signal of a suspect in Monday's fatal Midtown shooting to Rhode Island where they arrested him, sources said.

Francisco Alsina, 23, is in the custody of U.S. Marshals' Fugitive Task Force and awaiting extradition to New York, according to police.

Alsina is the second suspect to be taken into custody in connection with the shooting at Penn Station, in which Angel Quiñones, 43, was killed, and William Lamboy, 45, and Ed Torres, 48, were injured.

Vincent Arcona, 27, who is suspected of helping Alsina commit the shooting, walked into a Bronx hospital, where he sought a psychological evaluation and tried to score the painkiller Oxycodone, sources said.

Arcona aroused suspicions of the hospital staff when he used the name of someone already admitted in the hospital, sources said.

The staff recognized him from photographs released by NYPD and alerted authorities, who took him into custody, according to sources.
