Thieves Steal Magic Props, Bed Frame, Tea from Williamsburg Lobbies: NYPD

By Aidan Gardiner | November 11, 2015 8:50am

WILLIAMSBURG — Think a bed frame is too big to steal? Well, watch and learn.

Police video shows a man walk into a Williamsburg lobby, puzzle over a boxed queen-sized bed frame for a second before picking it up and leaving.

The man along with a woman similarly stole packages from lobbies in northern Brooklyn between Oct. 19 and Oct. 30, making off with the bed frame, a package of green tea, magic props, clothing and home supplies, NYPD officials said.

They first stole the One Kings Lane bed frame from a Woodpoint Road on Oct. 19 between noon and 3 p.m., police said.

Three days later, they pried open a lobby door at an East Williamsburg apartment building on Maspeth Avenue about 2 p.m. and swiped tea and Magic Props, NYPD officials said.

Finally, they managed to get buzzed into a Greenpoint apartment building on Kingsland Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. and stole boxes of clothes and home goods from the lobby, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
