TRIBECA — A woman was smashed in the face with a full can of soda as she crossed Canal Street last week, according to the NYPD.
The 37-year-old was walking across Canal Street near West Broadway when a young man turned around and hurled the soda can at her face, and fled toward Sixth Avenue, police said.
The spontaneous attack that left the woman with a swollen, bruised face happened roughly 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 3, police said.
The man is described as being 20 years old, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing about 160 pounds, police said.
