► Harbor Lights Theater Company Tag Sale

Where: Snug Harbor Cultural Center Cottage E, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston
When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Harbor Lights Theater Company will host a "Tag Sale" on Saturday and Sunday where they will sell some old props and costumes from their productions and more. The cash-only sale will include graffiti art they used in their production of "Rent!" and vintage clothing, typewriters, books and more. Funds from the sales will raise money for the theater company's future performances.

 

Saturday, Nov. 7

Staten Island Landmarks by Rail

Where: St. George Ferry Terminal, St. George
When: 9:00 a.m.

The Preservation League of Staten Island will spend Saturday giving a guided tour of landmarks in the borough that can be access off stops of the Staten Island Railway. The tour will visit spots like Staten Island Borough Hall, Edgewater Village Hall in Stapleton and the Gustave Mayer house in New Dorp. The $25 tour included a bagged lunch and snacks and will end back at the Ferry Terminal. To RSVP call (718) 980-1551 or visit the group's website.

 

Sunday, Nov. 8

► Vintage Camera Day

Where: Alice Austen House Museum, 2 Hylan Blvd., Rosebank
When: Noon to 4 p.m.

The Alice Austen House Museum will celebrate analog film cameras on their "Vintage Camera Day," with talks and activities that look at the classic ways to snap a photo. A the free event will the public can snap photos of the historic homes with vintage cameras, tour Austen's darkroom and bring their own equipment to a "camera doctor" to consult with for repairs, film and processing. At 1 p.m. the museum will host a presentation showing how Austen captured and processed images and another at 2:30 p.m. where photographers Edward Coppola and Doug Schwab will provide a hands-on demo on making a cyanotype print.

► Mount Manresa Film Screening

Where: Unitarian Church of Staten Island, 312 Filmore St., Livingston
When: 2 p.m.

The Committee to Save Mount Manresa will host a film screening of a new documentary by local filmmaker, and committee member, Arthur Siegel about the history of the former Jesuit retreat and the efforts to save it from development by the committee. Tickets for the show is a $20 donation to help the group pay for legal expenses and includes food. To RSVP contact Barbara Sanchez at (917) 428-8117 or on the committee's website.

Staten Island Philharmonic "Staten Island Treasures" Concert

Where: Springer Concert Hall in the College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Blvd., Willowbrook
When: 3 p.m.

The Staten Island Philharmonic will perform three pieces that celebrate natural landscapes and people that make up the borough in their "Staten Island Treasures" concert. The performance includes pieces "Points of Light" by Sanchie Bobrow, a tribute to Staten Island Museum CEO Elizabeth Egbert "Broadway Starship" by Michael Sirotta and "Scenes from the Greenbelt" by Howard Fox.
