Trunk or Treat!

Bring your kids to this family-friendly event at Maple Grove Cemetery. Decorate your car and help feed those in need by bringing canned goods, which will be donated to local food pantries. Car owners will hand out candy from their trunks and their decorated vehicles will be judged during the event. The best decorated trunk will win a $100 cash prize. Trunk or treat will take place in the Victorian Monumental Park Section of the cemetery. For more information email info@friendsofmaplegrove.org or call (347) 878-6614.

Where: Corona Plaza, 103rd Street and Roosevelt Avenue, Corona
When: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

► Cheer on NYC Marathon Runners in Queens

Where: 21st Street and 44th Drive, Long Island City
When: From 10:30 a.m.

Show a warm Queens welcome to the runners in this year’s NYC Marathon as they pass through the borough. The Queens Tourism Council is organizing a cheering station, where they’ll be handing out water and cheering runners as with pompoms and cowbells.
