MIDTOWN EAST — Community Board 6 needs your help counting the neighborhood's trees.

The board is looking for volunteers to help tackle the Midtown East portion of the citywide TreeCount census, which aims to count and document every tree in New York.

Members of the board, the Parks Department and area residents will be gathering at the corner of East 43rd Street and Second Avenue at 10 a.m. on Saturday to start the counting.

Anyone looking to volunteer needs to create a free account on the tree census website, complete a brief online training and RSVP on the Parks Department website to join the Community Board 6 group.

The event is free and no prior tree-counting experience is necessary, but participants should bring a photo I.D.
