Woman Killed in Daylight Shooting in The Bronx, Police Say

BRONX — A woman was shot and killed in broad daylight on a Pelham Gardens street Thursday afternoon, police said.

Kimberly Velasquez, 20, of Kingsbridge Heights, was found unconscious at 955 Waring Ave. with a bullet wound to the torso at 3:10 p.m., police said.

She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
