BROOKYLN — Police released a grainy surveillance footage of a suspect wanted for the fatal stabbing of an unlicensed cab driver last month.

The video shows the bald-headed suspect walking down an East New York block before repeatedly knifing Rafael Veras, 35, on Shepherd and Dumont Avenues Sept. 17, the NYPD said.

The suspect appears to be wearing a black jacket and tight pants.

Veras was stabbed to death inside his brother’s taxi that he had borrowed for the night in hopes of making some extra cash, officials said.

He had been working to obtain his TLC license.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
