CROWN HEIGHTS — A teenager in Crown Heights was hospitalized last week after three people attacked and tried to rob him as he walked home from school, police said.

The 17-year-old boy was walking on Sullivan Place near Washington Avenue after school roughly 3 p.m. on Oct. 14 when a group of three young men came up behind him and forcibly searched his pockets.

One in the group then hit the teenager on the left side of the head with an unknown object.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital bleeding with cuts on his face.

It's unclear how old the assailants are or if they knew the victim. No suspects have been identified in the incident and no arrests have yet been made, investigators said.

This incident is part of DNAinfo’s weekly crime blotter of reports made to the 71st Precinct in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and Crown Heights. Read the full blotter here.
