KIPS BAY — A pair of men attacked a driver at a Kips Bay intersection last week, with one biting the victim's arm and another flinging a bicycle into his windshield, according to NYPD.

The victim was in his car at Second Avenue and East 26th Street at roughly 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 when Benny Morel, 20, and another man attacked him, police said.

While it wasn't immediately clear what sparked the attack, police said Morel approached the driver's side door and began punching the driver in the arm and face, breaking his glasses, and then bit him in the arm, according to a criminal complaint.

During the beating, Morel's accomplice picked up a bike he had with him and hurled it into the windshield of the car, shattering the glass, according to police.

Prosecutors charged Morel with two counts of assault, two counts of criminal mischief, and one count of harassment, and a judge ordered him held on $1,500 bail, according to court records.

Morel is due back in court on Oct. 22. Information on the other man's charges and attorney was not immediately available.

Morel’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
