MANHATTAN — A man survived a gunshot to the mouth that struck him Monday night as he sat in his vehicle on Audubon Avenue, police said.

The 34-year-old, whose name was not immediately released, was in his vehicle outside 294 Audubon Ave., near West 179th Street, about 10 p.m. when someone came up and shot him, an NYPD spokesman said.

The bullet hit him in the mouth, police said.

He was treated at Harlem Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition, police said.

The shooter's motive was not clear, and there were no immediate arrests, police said.
