FLUSHING — Business owners can vent about red tape, and learn how to cut through it, at a town hall meeting Wednesday.

The city comptroller's "Red Tape Commission" will help local business owners at a hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Flushing Town Hall.

The commission features local business owners as well as government officials who can help store owners navigate the often confusing world of permitting and other city rules.

Entrepreneurs can share their experiences, which will be included in an upcoming report by Comptroller Scott Stringer on challenges facing local business owners.

Queens business people on Stringer's panel includes Jukay Hsu from the Coalition for Queens and Manu Kapoor of the Indian Business Association, Inc.

Stringer has held similar meetings in other boroughs, and said at a Bronx hearing that he wants the commission to operate "bottom up" with the real concerns of those running small businesses.
