PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — He stole the cellphone and needed some headphones to go with it.

Two young women say they were robbed within minutes of each other this week by a young man riding a bike who took one woman’s phone and, a few blocks away, snatched the other woman’s ear buds, police said.

The first robbery took place at the corner of Lincoln Road and Flatbush Avenue roughly 8:10 p.m. on Oct. 11 when a young man on a black mountain bike rode onto the sidewalk where a 22-year-old woman was walking, she told police. The man rode up behind her, snatched her Samsung Galaxy S5 phone from her hand and rode away eastbound on Lincoln Road.

A few minutes later, a 24-year-old woman reported that a young man, also on a dark-colored bicycle, snatched the ear buds out of her ears at the corner of Lefferts and Bedford avenues and fled north.

Neither of the women were injured by the robberies. No suspect has been identified in connection to the incidents, police said.
