THE BRONX — A job seeker robbed a worker Tuesday who said there weren't any available positions at his Hunts Point warehouse, police said.

The suspect, who can be seen in surveillance footage, came into the Happy Times USA warehouse at 520 Barretto St., near Randall Avenue, about 9:30 a.m. and asked for a job, NYPD officials said.

A 53-year-old man working there said they didn't have any openings, so the suspect threatened to stab him if he didn't fork over cash, police said.

The two struggled for a moment, but the suspect grabbed $1,700 from the worker's pocket, along with two nearby Panasonic landline phones, and fled, police said.

The worker wasn't injured in the scuffle, police said.

The suspect was described as about 40 years old and standing 5-foot-9, police said. He was last seen wearing a Yankees cap, a gray half-sleeved hoodie with "Everlast" written across the chest, dark blue jeans and white sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
