SUNNYSIDE — The neighborhood's annual restaurant week returns this month, and this year will include a series of film screenings at several local eateries, organizers said.

Sunnyside Restaurant Week will take place for its third year from Oct. 19 to 23, offering three-course meals at more than two dozen restaurants for just $25.

This year, non-profit arts groups No Longer Empty and the Queens World Film Festival will also be showing art videos and short films at several of the eateries, as well as at Bliss Plaza, the public pedestrian space beneath the 46th Street 7 train station.

The festivities will kick off Monday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. with a showing of more than 10 short films at Bliss Plaza. The films will all be related to food and the creative process, according to organizers.

Other screenings will take place throughout the week, ending Friday, Oct. 23 with a showing of short dark comedy and horror films at The Dog and Duck from 7 to 9 p.m.

Twenty-nine restaurants will be participating in the $25 special throughout the week, including Italian eatery SoleLuna, which will be serving up dishes like ravioli with cheese and pear in a rosemary and butter sauce, along with tiramisu for dessert. Peruvian restaurant Rika's menu includes entrees like pineapple fried rice, or a seafood ceviche served in a coconut shell.

Many spots will also be offering lunch specials as well. For a full list, visit the Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District's website.
