LOWER EAST SIDE – A verbal dispute between two students escalated after a 16-year-old boy “body slammed” a female student on the ground last week, police said.

Police said the students argued in the cafeteria of Marta Valle High School, located at 145 Stanton St., at around 11:20 a.m. on Sept. 30. After throwing the girl, also 16, on the ground, the boy punched her multiple times in her face, injuring her face and back, according to the NYPD.

No arrests have been made, police said.

Marta Valle High School and the Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
