FORDHAM — The Bronx man suspected of shooting his wife in the head and killing her has been caught, police said.

Amauri Perdomo, 31, was wanted in connection with the death of his wife,  Jennifer Ortiz, 27, who was found shot in the head in the passenger seat of an SUV outside of 2525 Morris Ave. on Sunday morning, police said.

Officers tracked down Perdomo and he is now in custody and awaiting charges at the 52nd Precinct stationhouse, according to the NYPD.

Perdomo tried to shoot himself as police came to get him by Webster Avenue and E. 201st Street, but he missed, according to the Daily News.
