FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A thief stole $800 from a woman's bag as she sat in a Financial District Starbucks, police said.
The 35-year-old woman told police that she left her bag on top of a counter in the coffee chain's 99 Wall St. location, on Oct. 5 around 3:45 p.m., and turned her back to her purse.
When she went to grab it, a few minutes later, she realized that her wallet, which contained $800, had been taken from inside her handbag.
