SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — A woman searching for a bathroom ended up getting mugged by a man who gave her fake directions last week, police said.

The victim, 25, said she went into a residential building at 70 Ross St. near Wythe Avenue at roughly 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 26 looking for a bathroom when a man told her she could find one on the sixth floor, police said.

When she realized there was no bathroom on the sixth floor, she got back in the elevator to return to the lobby, according to police.

One the way down, the same man got into the elevator on the fifth floor and said, "Give me your cellphone, where are the drugs?" police said.

The man held her arm until the elevator stopped at the basement level and then took her iPhone 6 and $250 in cash, the NYPD said.

Police described the suspect as roughly 30 years old, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 150 pounds.

No arrests have been made for the incident.
