CHELSEA — Cleaned out.

An unidentified thief found a woman's dry cleaning receipt and used it to swipe more that $550 of clothes from an Eighth Avenue laundromat, police said.

The 46-year-old woman had lost her receipt, she told police, and when she went to pick up her clothes Sept. 12 from New Quick Coin Inc. Laundromat, at 164 8th Ave., they were gone.

Among the stolen clothing were a $300 pair of yoga pants, a $150 pair of jeans and a $60 Anthropology dress, police said.

A worker at the laundromat, who declined to give his name, said he had never heard of this happening before. He also said the woman has since returned with more dirty laundry.

No arrests have been made, according to police.
