THE BRONX — Westchester County prosecutors said they will reexamine the 2008 SIDS death of an infant after the mother was charged with murdering her newborn girl in her boyfriend's Bronx apartment Monday.
Jennifer Berry, 33, who court documents said dropped her most recent child from a 7th-floor bathroom window, lost a baby boy seven years earlier in her hometown of Yonkers, prosecutors said.
The Westchester County medical examiner at the time ruled that the child died a natural death from SIDS, according to the DA’s office.
Investigators “will be reviewing the findings again,” a spokesman said in an email.
Berry was working for the New York City Administration for Children’s Services before her son’s death, the New York Post reported.
She was arraigned for her daughter's death in Bronx Criminal Court Tuesday night on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges and held without bail.
Her next court appearance is Oct. 5.
