CORONA — A concert promoter is planning a large-scale festival similar to Coachella at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, according to a report.

AEG Live, which runs the popular festival in California and others like it, has been in talks with the city for bringing another huge show to the borough's largest park, according to the Daily News.

The show, called Panorama, would be held next summer and has already started confirming big-name acts, the report said.

A spokeswoman for AEG Live did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The nearly 900-acre park was built around two world's fairs in 1930s and 1960s.

Panorama would be the first concert of its size at the site in decades, although the park regularly hosts various cultural festivals, races, and other events.

Parts of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park have been turned over for private spaces, including Citi Field and USTA's stadiums.

More than $10 million was earmarked for the park as part of a deal in 2013 involving the tennis facility's expansion — but the city has yet to form the alliance required to allow the funds to be disbursed.

None of the $10.05 million — half for the alliance, and the other half for road construction — has been paid out yet, pending the group's creation.

Neither the Parks Department or the mayor's office immediately responded to requests for comment.
