CHELSEA — A new gastropub will be dishing out gourmet, comfort foods, zesty craft beers and elegant cocktails from its location on 29th Street just south of Madison Square Garden.

Haymaker Bar and Kitchen opened on Friday at 252 West 29th St. between Seventh and Eighth avenues, with menu highlights like Grandma's meatballs with pine nuts, raisins and garlic toast, Mexican corn and cabbage salad with spicy lime ranch dressing and mac and cheese with a Parmesan cream sauce, pancetta and cremini mushrooms.

Besides tasty pub fare, Haymaker offers a selection of 18 craft beers, like a Flemish sour ale that's been aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, or Stillwater Cellar Door Saison — a Baltimore brew with floral notes and earthy spices.

Owner Dave Smith and his marketing partner Jeff Anzulewicz, both 33, met while tending bar at the East Village Irish pub Dempsey's about a decade ago, and have both bartended at a handful of spots across the city like Pig ’N’ Whistle, that has several Manhattan locations, Jack Russell's Pub in Yorkville and Half Pint in Greenwich Village.

Haymaker Bar and Kitchen will be open everyday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., according to its website.

Thanks everyone. Were officially open. Come by and get a pint and burger.
