SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — A woman who hailed a yellow cab in Williamsburg was groped and choked by her driver shortly after getting in, police said.

The 29-year-old victim said she got into the cab on Grand Street, near Roebling Street, Sunday, Sept. 19, around 2 a.m., police said.

The driver only traveled a few blocks when he pulled over, climbed into the back seat and got on top of the victim, police said.

The driver then grabbed her chest and neck, constricting her airway and causing pain, police said.

He then fled in an unknown direction, police said.

No one has been arrested for the incident.
