QUEENS — A bus carrying special needs adults was involved in a collision Wednesday afternoon, sending nearly a dozen people to the hospital, the FDNY said.
The bus and another vehicle crashed at 81st Road and Woodhaven Boulevard at 3:48 p.m., according to fire officials.
The bus driver and 10 other people were taken to area hospitals, one with a serious injury, said FDNY.
The bus driver was in stable condition and taken to Elmhurst Hospital, according to police.
Police said the investigation is ongoing as they try to determine the cause of the accident.
