MIDTOWN — A woman was raped inside of a DoubleTree hotel by a man who invited her to his room for a study session, according to the NYPD.

The 19-year-old victim met up with the 29-year-old Brooklyn man at the 128 W. 29th St. hotel roughly 5:30 p.m. for what she thought was a study session, but when she entered the room, the man threw her on the bed, tore off her clothes, and then choked and raped her, police said.

Once she was able to escape, she called police and a transit officer spotted the suspect at the Fulton Street station, based on her description of him. He was arrested after the victim identified him in a line-up, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear at which Fulton Street station police confronted him.

Information regarding his next court date or an attorney was not immediately available.

An employee of the hotel declined to comment on Wednesday.
