BUSHWICK — A woman walking in Bushwick fought off a man who forced her to the ground and tried to rape her last weekend, police said.
The 26-year-old victim was near Evergreen Avenue and Grove Street at roughly 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, when a man came up from behind, grabbed her and took her to the ground, police said.
He then tried to sexually assault her, police said.
The woman resisted, and the man fled the area, police said.
The man was last seen wearing a red shirt.
Police are investigating the incident.
