UPPER WEST SIDE — A man stole nearly $1,800 from a local bank last week after passing a threatening note to a teller, police said.

The suspect entered the Santander Bank branch at 2275 Broadway at West 82nd Street at 5:10 p.m. on Sept. 11 and slipped a note to the teller reading, "Don't say anything or I'll hurt you," the NYPD said.

The teller then handed over $1,791 in cash, and the man fled, police said. He did not display any weapons, police added.

The NYPD could not provide a more detailed description of the man.
