RED HOOK — A man was wounded during an early-morning shooting in Red Hook on Saturday, police said.

The 27-year-old victim was shot five times on Sept. 12 at 4:08 a.m. behind 80 Dwight St. near Coffey Park, according to the police report.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his thigh, arms, back and behind his left knee, police said.

It was not immediately known at which hospital he was treated. Authorities said he is expected to survive.

The victim was uncooperative in providing a description of the shooter, police said.

This shooting comes on the heels of another nearby incident that shook the neighborhood last month.

A gang-related shooting Aug. 3 wounded five people, including a pregnant woman who miscarried because of her injuries. Police have since arrested four men in connection with the incident.
