GLENDALE — HomeGoods, known for its deeply discounted household supplies, kitchenware and furniture, plans to open its first shop in Queens in November, according to a spokeswoman.

"I am pleased to confirm that HomeGoods is scheduled to open in Glendale, at The Shops at Atlas Park on Sunday, Nov. 15," the spokeswoman, Robyn Arvedon, confirmed in an email.

It's the company's first location in Queens, and only the third in New York City, she said.

HomeGoods, owned by The TJX Companies, specializes in things for the home — at major discounts, the company said. There are weekly shipments of items for every room in the home.

There are currently HomeGoods stores on Flatbush Avenue near Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, and on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Other nearby Home Goods locations include Rockville Centre, Hempstead and Port Washington.
