QUEENS — A 15-year-old girl has died after being shot in the head at her Far Rockaway apartment building Friday afternoon, according to officials.

Wilta Wordsworth was shot in her seventh-floor apartment on Collier Avenue shortly after 12 p.m. and was rushed to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, authorities said.

She died early Saturday from her injuries, according to the NYPD.

Damon Neal, 52, who lives on the sixth floor of the building, said a girl came to the door of their apartment when his daughter was home on Friday.

"A girl was banging on the door yelling 'help me, help me, help me!'" Neal said.

His daughter was afraid to open the door, the father added.

Later they saw the a young woman standing in the lobby of building in her bra and underwear, screaming "My sister got shot!"

Two men are in custody, and charges are pending, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
