UNION SQUARE — An 18-year-old man threatened to handcuff and beat up a police officer after he was told to leave a McDonald's for being disruptive, the NYPD said.

Police responded to the McDonald's at 39 Union Square West at 5:42 p.m. on Aug. 31 after a manager called 911 about an unruly diner who refused to leave, police said.

When police tried to escort the Crown Heights man out of the store, he became angry, and as a crowd gathered to watch the altercation, the teen told police, "I will beat you up, take your handcuffs and cuff you," according a spokeswoman for NYPD.

The 18-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and issued a desk appearance ticket, which requires him to appear in court at a later date, according to prosecutors.

Information regarding a lawyer was not immediately available.
