BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Take a trip back in time on Fridays this fall.

The Brooklyn Historical Society, located at 128 Pierrepont St., will be offering free fall admission every third Friday of the month from September to November, the museum announced Wednesday.

Visitors will be able to access exhibitions, galleries and the Othmer Library, which holds thousands of books and historical archives related to the borough.

While the center's usual hours are noon to 5 p.m., BHS will remain open until 9 p.m. on Sept. 18, Oct. 16 and Nov. 20 for the free Friday sessions.

Free beer, wine and musical entertainment will also be provided for the evening.

Some of the exhibits that will be showcased include a photography and letter writing display from soldiers and families during the Civil War in Brooklyn, stories from Brooklyn's abolitionists and the anti-slavery movement, and one revolving around the birth and death of the Brooklyn Americans, the borough's first professional hockey team.
