CRIME BLOTTER: Woman Attacked With Stroller at Atlantic Ave. Subway: NYPD

FORT GREENE — A young woman in an elevator at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station used her baby stroller to attack a 69-year-old woman who tried to step inside, police said.

The older woman was trying to enter the elevator at the Q train platform of the station at roughly midnight Aug. 25 when the woman with the "big baby carriage" punched her in the face, then rolled over her foot with the stroller, police said.

The attacker then fled on a northbound 2 train, police said. It was not immediately clear if there was a child inside the stroller at the time.

Other recent crimes in the 88th precinct include:

► A 27-year old man was shot twice by a stranger in the early morning on Myrtle Avenue Sunday, according to authorities.

The stranger, who has yet to be apprehended, threw a bottle at the man at about 5:15 a.m. Aug. 30, police said. He then shot him twice and fled down Myrtle Avenue, police said. The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition, the FDNY said.

The latest shooting brings the area's total number of shootings to 16, according to NYPD statistics.

►A 25-year-old man was walking along Park Avenue under the BQE between Hall Street and Washington Avenue near the Brooklyn Navy Yard at about 8 a.m. Tuesday when a large black vehicle pulled up beside him, and two people inside it asked him for the time.

When the man approached the car, one of the people inside showed him a gun and told him to get in the car. Once inside, the unknown perpetrator pointed the gun at the victim's head and took his belongings, including an iPhone 5, a MacBook Pro and cash, totaling $2,647, police said.

The pair then told the victim to get out of the car and drove off.

►A sweets thief made off with $267 worth of Milk Duds, Twizzlers and Mr. Goodbars that were sitting in a refrigerated truck outside the Key Foods at 991 Fulton St. at roughly 9:20 a.m. Aug. 25.
