CARROLL GARDENS — Two high-end watches worth a total of $60,000 were stolen from a Carroll Gardens home last week as the precinct faces an uptick in burglaries, authorities said.

Thieves broke into the Henry Street apartment between 6 a.m. on Aug. 26 and 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 and stole the two watches, 40 DVDs, gold rosary beads worth $400 and Jordan sneakers, according to the police report.

The watches were described as "Presidential" and "Yacht-Master" — collections from Rolex.

A number of burglaries have struck the 76th Precinct in the past month, including one in which a Brooklyn bride lost thousands of dollars in family jewelry just two weeks before her wedding.

The precinct has seen a 78.4 percent spike in burglaries between Jan. 1 and Aug. 16 as compared to the same period last year.

At least two other burglaries also took place recently in Carroll Gardens homes while the residents were on vacation.

About $16,300 in jewelry was stolen from an apartment on the 400-block of Smith Street between Aug. 22 and Aug. 30, according to the police report.

The stolen items included seven rings encrusted with rubies and sapphires worth $3,000, an engagement ring, a wedding band, a pearl bracelet, three watches and earrings.

According to the report, the front window had been found open and the fire escape was lowered. There was also damage to the front door.

In another incident, a 38-year-old woman returned from vacation to find her Clinton Street apartment had been ransacked some time between Aug. 20 and Aug. 29.

The woman lost hundreds of dollars in Calvin Klein merchandise, including two $350 watches, jewelry and a bracelet, the report said.
