QUEENS — A woman flew into a violent rage after another woman asked her to move her bag from an empty subway seat in Queens on Friday, according to police.

The suspect was riding a Manhattan-bound F train on Aug. 14 at about 9:45 a.m. when a 45-year-old woman asked her to move her bag. The suspect did not respond, and the other woman then attempted to sit in the seat, the NYPD said.

The woman with the bag then allegedly became aggravated and attacked the 45-year-old, scratching her chest, pulling her hair and biting her forearm.

She then fled the train when it stopped at the 21st Street-Queensbridge station.

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect has shoulder-length hair and was carrying a shiny black handbag, according to a picture taken after the incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
