Man Tries to Rob Bank Near Brooklyn College, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A man tried to rob a bank on Flatbush Avenue near Brooklyn College on Thursday, according to the NYPD.

The man handed a note to a teller demanding money at a Bank of America at 1580 Flatbush Ave. on Aug. 20 at about 10:10 p.m., police said. The worker refused to hand over money, and the man then fled the bank.

The suspect is about 25 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, white T-shirt, black shorts and was carrying a black backpack.

The suspect has shoulder-length hair and was carrying a shiny-black handbag, according to a picture taken after the incident.
