Man Stabbed 7 Times for Cellphone in Williamsburg, Police Say

EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A man was stabbed seven times in the back and neck last week while being robbed of his cellphone, police said.

The victim, 24, was walking on Maujer Street near Manhattan Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 13, just before 1 a.m. when five men started to fight with him, police said.

One of the men then stabbed the victim seven times in both the neck and back before the suspect stole his $700 Samsung Galaxy Note, police said. 

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in unknown condition, police said. 

No one has been arrested for the incident, according to police.
