PARK SLOPE — Artichoke Basille's Pizza is now available in Brooklyn.

Artichoke, which topped Eater's list of the city's most "iconic" slice joints, opened its first Brooklyn location Wednesday at 59 Fifth Ave. between Bergen Street and St. Mark's Avenue, co-owner Francis Garcia told DNAinfo New York.

The shop will offer the signature artichoke slices that made the mini-chain a destination for pizza lovers, and Garcia said he's working on a new Brooklyn-themed pie that's still in development.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza is a favorite for late-night post-drinking snacks, and it's also been praised as "the perfect hangover food." One New York magazine critic wrote, "The pizza is lumpy, a little heavy-handed with the muzz, occasionally burnt, and undeniably delicious."

Garcia and his cousin, Sal Basille, launched Artichoke Basille's Pizza on 14th Street in the East Village in 2008. They have since opened locations in Chelsea, Greenwich Village, Astoria, and even the noted pizza desert of Berkeley, California.

The 59 Fifth Ave. space was previously home to Luscious Foods, which closed last fall.
